Who is Peggy Gou?
Peggy Gou (Kim Min-ji) was born on the 3rd of July 1991 in Incheon in Korea. Professionally a deejay, record producer and stylist, she approached the world of music when she was 8 years old. She started taking piano lessons, but later she preferred to study fashion. She enrolled at the College of Fashion in London and became a correspondent for the Korean edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
After some time, Peggy Gou moved to Berlin and became interested in music again. This time she has not focused on the classic genre, but has turned her attention to the world of clubs, especially to techno and house sounds. In 2016 this passion pushed her to become a deejay and, in a few months, she became the main protagonist of the Berlin nightclub Berghain.
Also in 2016, Peggy Gou released her first EPs and within a few years she became one of the best deejays in the world. She has performed in various festivals of international importance such as: Coachella, Primavera Sound, Tomorrowland, Sònar and Glastonbury.
Peggy Gou is also an activist. She is constantly engaged in the fight against sexism and fights for gender equality.
