What is Unlocked Music Festival?

The event received the patronage of the Ministry of Health for the content and values it brings to the stage. The theme chosen is addiction, understood as everything that young people cannot do without, such as social media and smartphones. The festival is based on the Musica & Legalità project, now in its eighth edition, with its official representative Valeria Grasso, a witness of justice who has said no to the mafia, protection money and extortion through her denunciations.

The first day of the festival was opened by some of the island’s most influential artists, including Othelloman, Salvatore Petrotta’s alter ego rapper, followed by Capo Plaza, one of the most prominent names on the Italian trap scene, already a platinum record at just 20 years of age. There will be laughs with Matranga and Minafò and then dancing to the music of Eiffel 65, Italy’s most famous Eurodance band. At 10pm the Velodrome will host the real guest star of this edition: Gigi D’Agostino, known as Gigi Dag, the Italian DJ and producer with a decades-long career and international success.

During the second day, artists such as Daniele Travali, an emerging dj who has already played alongside international artists such as Erick Morillo, and Cristian Viviano, protagonist of the “Ibiza Talents” format, will take the stage. Then comes Wade, a master of electronic music, 24 times in Beatport’s Top 100 tech house.

In the late afternoon the dancing continues with guest star Paul Nicholas Fisher, aka DJ Fisher, one of the official ambassadors of techno music worldwide. A hilarious, stylish and incredibly popular former surfer nominated for the 2019 Grammy Awards with the song ‘Losing It’.

This is followed by primetime tech house groove DJ Carlo Lio and Dubfire, one of Iran’s most celebrated techno DJs and producers, also famous for being one of the founders of the duo Deep Dish. Finally, as the icing on the cake of two exceptional days, the festival will be closed by Nicole Moudaber “The queen of dark house”, the first DJ to have brought the clubbing culture to Beirut.

In addition to providing cars for staff and collaborators for the duration of the initiative, we actively participated during the two days at the Velodrome, setting up our own personalised area with flags and cars.

It was an intoxicating experience, together with thousands of young people we experienced, beat after beat, the emotion of enhancing our territory once again, but on this occasion to the rhythm of good music!
